Your first booking, step by step
From inquiry through quote and artist to payment and payout.
Updated October 27, 2026
This is how a booking moves through StageDesk, from first question to payout. You don't have to set everything up at once: start with one inquiry and follow the steps.
1. The inquiry comes in
A customer fills in the form on your booking page or on your own website. You can also create a booking yourself in Bookings → New booking, for example after a phone call. The booking is then an Inquiry.
2. You send a quote
Open the booking and choose Create quote. Add lines from your services, pick the deposit percentage and send it. The customer gets an email with a link to the quote.
3. The customer accepts
After acceptance the booking is Booked. The customer pays the deposit online or by bank transfer, depending on your settings.
4. You ask an artist
Choose Ask artist. The artist sees the gig in the app and accepts or declines. Only after acceptance is the artist confirmed on the booking.
5. The event and wrapping up
StageDesk sends reminders for the remaining amount and for the day itself. After the event the artist's share is paid out automatically for online payments, or you mark it as paid.
Tips
- Set up your services first, then a quote takes a minute.
- Use the messages in the booking, so all communication is in one place.
